Well, this is something I haven't done in awhile-write a new blog. Hell, seeing as I'm the only one who writes and (occasionally) reads them, what's to hurry about? But seeing as we're now in the midst of another rainstorm that's making this the wettest NJ March since 1983, what better to blog about than my strong suit, namely music?
What would be the ultimate songs for a Rainy Day CD or MP3 mix? I think these make the grade easiest:
Singin' In The Rain-Gene Kelly
Rainy Day, Dream Away-Jimi Hendrix
One More Rainy Day-Deep Purple
Rain On The Roof-The Lovin' Spoonful
Crying In The Rain-The Everly Brothers
See The Sky About To Rain-Neil Young
Rain Dance-The Guess Who
The Rain Song-The Bangles
Caught In The Rain-Fleetwood Mac
After The Rain-John Coltrane
Walking In The Rain-The Ronnettes
Rhythm Of The Rain-The Cascades
I Wish It Would Rain-The Temptations
I'm Only Happy When It Rains-Garbage
Rain-The Beatles
Raindrops-Dee Clark
Manhattan Island Serenade-Leon Russell
The Rains Came-Sir Douglas Quintet
So there you have it-the best songs to help one deal with crummy weather!
"If these April showers keep falling
And the floods come raging through
Don't come over to my house
My house'll come over to you!" (from BARNEY MILLER)
Cheers!
Gerry
